An incredible thing about having my own local Knoxville photography studio (HighLight Studio), is that I now have a place that I can offer to my clients to use for for their photo session when they want a natural, lifestyle feel, in addition to my classic white backdrop studio set up. This means that as parents of a newborn, you don’t have to fret over cleaning the house or styling your bedroom for your professional photo session. You can just show up to my studio and I will have it all set up for you!
Now let me also be clear, you never have to worry about cleaning when I come to your home! I am so glad to come into your home, just as it is, and document life as it unfolds. I love to do it! But, if you’re a mama who likes to have things just so (you know who you are) and the thought of tidying up right after bringing home a brand new baby sounds stressful, let me take that one thing off of your plate! You have enough going on as it is and I LOVE sharing my studio space with you.
As you’ll see in these photos, I like to style a bedroom scene in my studio pretty minimally with white/neutral colors. My goal is that it feels cozy and homey, but that the emphasis and focus is still on YOU and your people. I want to create an atmosphere where you can simply show up and feel comfortable. And besides, let’s be honest, “just showing up" is not actually that simple. After coordinating outfits and changing diapers and feeding the baby, etc, you deserve an award for simply being here at all! I commend you. The photos will of course be worth it though. 💛
