Let it Rain
Sung and Cameron’s engagement session at Max Patch didn’t go as planned, but ended up being freakin’ amazing! We headed to Max Patch with hopes of capturing beautiful mountaintop images at sunset, but the rainy weather had other plans for us. The fog was so thick, we couldn’t see the mountains in the distance. We were bummed when the rain and fog pushed us back down the mountain, but we were so thankful to find a beautiful field of yellow wildflowers just down the mountain! We were so HAPPY that it all worked out and these photos have turned into some of my all time favorites!
Cameron and Sung were up for anything and so positive about our change of plans! As they say, “when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” Y’all - they. made. the. lemonade!
Their session was so unique and so dang beautiful! They say rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck. And I think that can apply for engagement photo sessions, too, right?! I hope you enjoy some of my favorite photos of this sweet couple!
Stay true to you
These two are some of the most relaxed and down to earth people I’ve met! I love that their approach to their session, the weather, and even their outfit choices reflect that. SO simple and SO them. I hope they look back at these years to come and remember what these days and those moments felt like. Don’t give into the pressure to force a super “trendy” or “Instagrammable” session, instead - make decisions for your photo session that reflect you & your fiances highest priorities. All ya need is your love, a beautiful spot, and I’ll do the rest.
Searching for beauty
When the weather took a turn, we were forced to seek beauty in other ways than we had planned. Which allowed us to be so surprised by the wildflower field. The colors and variety of blooms were seriously stunning. As a photographer, I am happy to brainstorm locations and unique places for your photo sessions. East Tennessee is FULL of amazing outdoor and indoor photo session locations. Not sure the perfect location for your photo session? Not to worry, friend!
